The nursery children have been invited to take part in the annual Community Lantern Parade and Carol Concert to be held in the village on Monday 10th December, 2018. We would like as many of our children as possible to take part in this fantastic event, which involves a Lantern Parade through the village and then a Carol Concert at the Postmill Centre. The children will be singing songs from our Christmas Production.
We have made simple lanterns in nursery and you will receive these at the end of the week.
To be part of the lantern parade, please meet Nursery Staff at St Michael’s Church Hall Car Park at 5.55pm on Monday 10th December. An adult must accompany your child on the walk and stay for the Carol Concert. Please bring a small torch with you to light up your child’s lantern.
If you do not want to take part in the short walk through the village, your child can still come to the Postmill Centre to be part of the Carol Concert. If this is the case, please meet the Nursery Staff in the Postmill Centre at 6.25pm.
To ease congestion at the Postmill Centre, their staff have asked that upon arrival, only the children with lanterns, accompanied by ONE adult should enter the building through the town park side entrance. All others (including where possible pushchairs) are requested to use the main Postmill entrance. This is to help make access to the building safer and quicker. There will be stewards at the entrance gate to assist and point people in the right direction.
Free refreshments will be served after the concert.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR CHILD TO TAKE PART IN THE PARADE AND/OR THE CONCERT, PLEASE SEE MOIRA TO COLLECT A FORM TO BE COMPLETED BT FRIDAY 7TH DECEMBER.
