When can my child start nursery?

 

Children can start nursery the term after their third Birthday.

 

If your child is entitled to two year old funding, your child can start nursery in the term that they turn three, if there are places available. To check if you are eligible for two year old funding, click here.

 

What funding is available for my child?

Every child is entitled to 15 hours of free nursery education per week, this starts the term after their third Birthday. . At South Normanton Nursery School, this funding is available on a term time basis, over 38 weeks per year.

 

Some children, if their parents are working for 16 hours or more per week at minimum wage, may be eligible for 30 hours funding. To find out more about this funding, please click here.

 

How do I apply for a place at nursery?

 

Use the contact form below to register your child for a place. You will receive an email back within 2 working days of us receiving your contact form. Please note, this does not secure your place, it just registers your interest.

 

Please state:

 

  • Your name and contact number
  • Your email address
  • Your address
  • Your child's name
  • Your child's date of birth
  • The name of both of your child's parents
  • Any health considerations your child may have
  • Any other information you think we should know about your child - i.e speech; special needs; allergies
