21/05/2021: TravelSmart week and how to be safe when you're out and about.
During this week we have thinking about different ways of travelling as it was TravelSmart or Walk to School week.
As part of our eco learning to be responsible and take care of our world and our rights respecting schools learning about how to keep healthy, we’ve been encouraging the children to do more walking if they can and mix things up a bit by walking in new and interesting ways. Even if they had to come to nursery in a car, they could try out their new walking moves on the path and maybe park a little further away to be a bit healthier!
In nursery we have also been using our vehicles to create pictures and stories, reading stories and singing songs about travelling and in the garden we’ve been practicing how to be safe when we’re out and about with our grown ups by learning the green cross code… stop, look and listen.
