Christmas Activity Day: 06/12/13
Our Christmas activity day was a "wintery" success!
Despite the chilly weather, we welcomed a record number of children and parents/ carers, grandparents and other family members joining in with seasonal activities, in nursery and in the nursery garden...brrrrr!
We learnt about the traditional religious and non religious celebrations that take place at this time of year including decorating the Christmas tree, going to church and eating special food.
Our children and families enjoyed making holly wreaths, Christmas decorations and reindeer hats, making letters to Santa, which they posted in out post box, threading Christmas shapes and making reindeer food to help Rudolf to find his way to their houses on Christmas Eve. We also decorated our Christmas tree and made some snowman lollies...yum!
Those brave enough to venture outside, wrapped up warm and to hunt for Santa's numbers or throw snowballs into the snowman's tummy, in the nursery garden!
