Winter at Nursery

It's getting cold outside but with temperatures well below freezing we're still wrapping up warm to play and learn in the nursery garden and enjoy all that winter has to offer.

We've been singing our 'Put You Coat On' song to help remind everyone about the importance of keeping warm in the cold weather. Remeber to  wear your warm clothes now that the cold has set in and always bring coats, hats, gloves and scarves.

We've also been learning about what happens to the environment in winter and looking at how different the nursery garden looks. We've looked closely at the bare trees, the frosty grass and the ice covered spiders webs and we've made footprints in the frost

We've talked about helping the animals in winter too and the children have helped to fill up the birdfeeders and put water out in the bird bowls.
