We had a fantastic time on Tuesday celebrating the end of an era and our children left nunrsery ready to got to big school in September.
There was dncing and lots of games at our parties as well as some lovely party food.
Later as our parents, grandparents and carers joined us for a end of year musical celebration.
Throughout the year we have done lots of our learning through music and rhythm...it is a fantastic way of teaching lots of different aspects of the curriculum including maths, literacy and much of our topic work as well as musical concepts.
Tuesdays concert was a fantastic opportunity to showcase some of what we've done and learned throughout the year and despite the extremely hot weather we had lots of fun.
Very well done to all the children (and the staff) for performing so enthusiastically in the 'tropical' conditions and many thanks to the parents, grandparents and carers who were able to come along and support us.
As we know it is not always possible for everyone to attend these events, this year we have made a recording of some of the songs and we are hoping to put them onto the website. If all goes well with uploading the material this will hopefully be in the next few weeks. So keep checking back to hear South Normanton Nursery School children's final performance...coming soon!
