The children had a fantastic time with Bemma from African Ark singing, dancing and learning about African culture.
Bemma dressed some of the children in traditional African clothing and taught them some new songs in a language called Swahili. We enjoyed the songs so much that we are going to sing them in nursery.
Bemma a also tought us some tribal dances and explained why and how the men and women in Africa do each of these dances.
Days like today help the children to learn about other countries and their culture and traditions, helping them to understand that there are lots ofo different sorts of people in the world and that we are all different and special.
