'Time to Say Goodbye'. An End of Year Musical Extravaganza...Celebrating Outstanding Progress! 24/07/15

We had a fantastic time on Friday celebrating the end of an era, as many of our children left nursery ready to go to ‘big’ school in September. Our parents, grandparents and carers joined us at The Postmill Centre for an end of year musical extravaganza which was a fantastic success.

Throughout the year we have done lots of our learning through music and rhythm...it is a fantastic way of teaching lots of different aspects of the curriculum including maths, literacy and much of our topic work as well as musical concepts.

The end of year concert was a wonderful opportunity to showcase and celebrate just some of what we've learned throughout the year. It was also a fitting end to an exciting year and lots of fun too.

Very well done to all the children (and the staff) for performing so enthusiastically on the big stage and many thanks to the parents, grandparents, carers and governors who were able to come along and support us.

Although we were sad to say goodbye to our children as they leave nursery to embark on the next steps in their education at ‘big’ school in September, we were happy to celebrate their achievements and report the outstanding progress that they have made during their time with us. We wish them all the very best of luck…they have been a pleasure to teach in nursery.

Special thanks also, for all the cards and gifts that we received from parents and carers. We really appreciate your kindness and generosity. Thank you as well for your kind words to staff and via the nursery feedback sheets.  We had an overwhelmingly positive response and as always we really value the comments that you make, which help us to constantly review and continue to improve our nursery provision.

Please keep checking back over the coming month, for information and blogs on the website, including the audio files from the end of year concert. We now wish you all a fabulous summer.
