11 & 15/11/ 21: We are scooter safe!
We had the excitement of some very special scooter training over the last couple of weeks with two visits from Rob from the Derbyshire Travel Team.
Parents and carers were invited to come in and accompany their children learning some new skills and how to be safe when using their scooters out and about in the community.
Rob taught us how to scoot and stop safely, how to wiggly weave in and out of the cones, how to glide and most importantly how to cross the road safely with our grown ups when we are in the community.
The children (and grown ups) were absolutely fantastic and did really well with all of activities. It is so important that children know how to be safe when they are in the community and walking, scooting or using bikes is great for our environment too!
If our children come to nursery on their scooter or balance bike, then they can also now park in our brand new parking bays outside of Badgers entrance.
Well done everyone...we are safe and eco friendly too!
