08/10/21: Learning about Harvest Festival celebrations
During the week we have been thinking about Harvest. We talked about what it means when we ‘harvest’ food and we learned about where food is grown and how and when we harvested.
Everybody needs food and it is our right to have good food so that we can keep healthy. (UNCRC Article 24). Some children had a discussion about what it would be like if you didn’t have enough food and what we could do to help. As a nursery, we collected lots of food that we are going to donate to the community to help other people who are less fortunate than ourselves. This is our way of helping other children in the community to enjoy their right to good food to keep healthy.
