How Exciting! A Letter From Santa: 14/12/15
The children at nursery were very excited to receive a letter addressed to all of them...When we opened it together, we realised it had come all the way from the North Pole! It was from Santa himself!
He thanked us for the invitation to the Nursery Christmas Party on Friday and said that he was very excited to come to visit us. He also said that he would bring a sack of pre-Christmas presents to nursery as a special treat.
Many of the children have already written a letter to Santa, to ask him for the Christmas presents that they would like, but since we received the letter, everyone has been thinking very carefully about what to say to Santa when he comes for his visit. Lots of children have decided to talk to him about what they would like for Christmas and we will also tell him that we all made reindeer food at our Christmas craft activity day to help to guide Rudolph and Santa sleigh to our houses on Christmas Eve.
The anticipation of a visit from Santa has really excited our children and has been a fantastic stimulus for thinking and talking activities as well as being a wonderful celebration of Christmas tradition.
