23/04/2021: Welcoming new children and learning about Saint George
We were really excited to welcome our new children to nursery this week. They are come into nursery brilliantly and have already started to settle in and our older children have been brilliant in supporting them to remember the routines and expectations at nursery. We look forward to lots of fantastic and exciting playing and learning with you all over the coming year.
In the week that we welcomed out new starters w also learnt about St Georges Day.
We made English flags at nursery today and talked to the children about where they may have seen them before. We watched the story of Saint George defeating the dragon and some children even chose to act the story out with characters in nursery! This learning helps children to learn about British culture and supports their understanding of identity, an important part of our Rights Respecting Schools learning.
