16-27/11/2020: Switch Off Fortnight. Being ECO friendly by saving electricity.
Over the course of two weeks at nursery we've been learning about what things use electricity in our homes/at nursery and how we can save electricity.
We spoke about keeping safe and reminded the children that only grown ups should be plugging in electrical items or changing batteries.
The children had a discussion about why it's important not to waste electricity and how we could save it. We looked at the signs in nursery that we have next to our light switches to remind us to switch them off when we are not using them and also learnt a short song about switching off the lights to save electricity too.
