We had a fantastic time today, celebrating the Christmas season and raising money for charity by wearing our favourite Christmas jumpers to nursery.
The nursery was filled with Christmas cheer with children and staff, wearing jazzy jumpers and festive knits.
It really was a fantastic sight to see snowmen and reindeer, Christmas puddings and Father Christmas, snowflakes and sparkles, angels, polar bears and robins, just to mention a few!
This day helped to raise the children's awareness of winter and traditional Christmas celebrations that Christian people and many others take part in.
Christmas jumper day came a week early for us, but all over the country other people will also be wearing their Christmas jumpers on Friday 18th December to raise money for Text Santa. We all paid £1 to wear our jumpers to nursery today and the money raised will go to support the Macmillan, Make a Wish and Save the Children charities.

By talking about raising money for charity on days such as today, our children begin to learn the importance of giving and helping others who are less fortunate than themselves.
Thank you to everyone for joining in with this fun event!
