First Egg of the Year...Welcome Back Chickens

Our chickens are back at nursery after their winter break at Amanda's house.

They have had a lovely holiday sleeping on hot water bottles in the cold weather and enjoying lots of nice food.

The chidren will continue their learning through caring for the chickens as they help to feed them, give them water and change their bedding. It helps them to respect living things and learn about taking care of animals. 

We are also happy to announce that after just a week and a half back at nursery, one of them has layed the very first egg of the year...well done girls!
